The holiday started the night before with a "Science Dip" party on June 30 at LA's place in Churchill. It was all about the food that fits in the category of "dip". You always know that hot cheese will be a hit and team it up with some great bean dips and it's a party. Thanks to all the researchers who donned some town gear and came on in for the dip event. The dip dissolved to an ultimate frisbee game in Hudson Square and may have been followed by some other party-like adventures...
In Churchill tradition, The Bay Dip was held on Thursday morning at about 11:30 am. It was the perfect day for a dip in the Arctic Ocean with a south wind to keep the bugs at Bay and temperatures in the high teens and low twenties (degrees Celsius air temperature). The CNSC fielded about five teams for the event. It was a good showing this year but no trophies (although we might claim one member from the best costume team currently works with the research team). Thanks to the Kennesaw State University field course folks for entering into the Dip as well!

So while Krista and LA weren't in the Bay Dip, we joined in the fun with the presents sent our way by Kristin for Canada Day. Thanks Kristin!
Work continues on the building envelope of the Centre. Here are a few pictures from last week.
Yes, that really is a person standing on the roof! It won't be black for long as they continue to put the building envelope layers onto the building.
