Ah, the alleys…..it’s really a sensory experience, you know. The scent of 40 researchers crammed into a tiny alley for a night where we really put the ‘FUN’ into FUNdraising. The roar of FishBs iPOD, the sight of a enormous variety of dips…..and the shoes….well, I guess these shoes have probably been here since Cheers was still on the air…..
On Saturday July 16, 2011 our CNSC Bowl-o-Rama was held once again at the bowling alley down in the Town Complex. If you were able to get past the dancing researchers and the tables full of tasty dips then you would have been witness to some of the most spectacular bowling skills ever seen in one place at one time. There was a fantastic turn out for the event which was held to help raise money to purchase the new pool table for the recreation lounge in the new building.
A special thanks to the Birdfish Bowling Team for helping to organize, prepare and deliver another fantastic bowling night. You know who you are: LeeAnn “Hand Me The Ballz” Fishback, Katrina “Spare Me” Jansen, Krista “Gutterballz” Hanis, Kaleigh “Puddle!” Eichel, and Caleigh “Snake Byte” Christie. Another big thank you to the CNSC for donating a few prizes and the bus to transport people to and fro.
And lastly, a thank you to all who participated in the event. We are really looking forward to being able to recreate in the new recreation lounge.
