The Churchill Northern Studies Centre is pleased to report that our brand new 27,000 sq. ft. LEED Gold facility in Churchill, Manitoba is rapidly nearing completion and will be operational June 2011. Grand opening celebrations will take place August 24, 2011 followed by a research symposium in honour of the late Dr. Robert (Bob) L. Jefferies August 25-28th, 2011. Events include the ribbon cutting ceremony, presentation of the inaugural Weston Family Prize for Lifetime Achievement in Northern Science, wildlife tours, community feast, presentations, live entertainment, building and research site tours, exhibits and reminiscing.
