Well it is still April in Churchill so a few more snow flurries are not really unexpected. We awoke this morning to frozen puddles and a bit more snow on the ground while a few more flurries descended throughout the morning. Kat and I headed out to check on some snow fence experiments and found that for the most part, they did there job in increasing the snow pack depth! Here's a view on the ground of the sedge meadows along Ramsay Road.
Shortly after lunch, the sunny periods from the forecast made an appearance so here are a few better pictures of the snow conditions. Photo taken April 23, 2010 at 2:00 pm from the CNSC roof.
The research staff have a new Seasonal Research Technician for the summer. This one is for you Kuz.... can you spot those ITEX chambers with no snow?
